Keyword search
The experts that are included on the site have selected keywords that relate to their area of expertise. These appear in the "Overview of research details" on the contact tab in their profile. You can search for these keywords using our hierarchical tree.
The main industry sectors are displayed in the selection box. Click on the sector you are interested in and then click on "Down a level" to view the keywords associated with it. Click on "Up a level" to go up the tree. Keywords within a sector are displayed in alphabetical order. To select a keyword, select and then click on the "Add" button. The selected keywords are displayed in the box. To delete a keyword before submitting your selection, select the keyword from the box and then click on the "Delete" button. Once your selection is complete, click on "Continue".
Narrow the search to specific fields
To narrow your search down to specific section in the profile, select the particular section from the drop down box. For example, I have already typed in "Molecular Monolayers" in the Free text search, and wish only to know about experts that have produced publications on this subject, so select "Publications" from the drop down list.
Institutional search
The institutional search enables you to narrow your search down to a particular faculty or department/research centre. Select a faculty from the drop down list. The associated research centres and departments will automatically appear. You can choose to narrow your search down further by selecting a research centre or a department, or simply remain at faculty level.
Click on the "Search" button to run the search.
Click on the "Clear" button to clear your search criteria.
